Travel search engine, KAYAK has launched the latest instalment of its campaign – ‘Go See For Yourself’ this week.
Created by McCann Manchester, ‘the spots urge people to embrace spontaneity and shatter the confines of Holidazing by hitting the book button!
This campaign features Dave (30 something, medium height, male with short blonde hair), seamlessly enjoying a relaxing drink whilst planning his next holiday activity (yoga with Alfonzo anyone?) until he is abruptly brought back to reality after an episode of severe ‘holidazing’ (where one dreams of a perfect holiday). In the comfort of his slightly less sunny living room, KAYAK’s persuasive booking button A.K.A Booksy convinces him to seize the holiday and ACTUALLY BOOK IT, using the KAYAK app.
The 20 and 30 second spots run on YouTube until the end of April 2024.
Per Christiansen, senior vice president of marketing at KAYAK said “The holiday season is a time filled with togetherness. With this campaign, we want to inspire individuals to break away from the ordinary and embrace unexpected travel experiences with the helping hand of Booksy.”
Commenting on the campaign, executive creative director at McCann Manchester, Dan Noller said: “Booksy is back just in time for the depths of winter, interrupting people as they sit mid- ‘Holidaze’. He's that inner voice we all have that tells us to stop thinking about it and just book. We're super proud of these spots, and it shows what can happen with a brave client.”
