McCann Manchester has been shortlisted for two highly prestigious IPA Effectiveness Awards for its work as part of the McCann UK team responsible for running the Aldi account.

McCann has previously won gold and silver IPA Effectiveness Awards for its work with Aldi

The latest shortlistings are for work undertaken by the agency on the multi-award winning Kevin The Carrot Christmas campaigns for 2017 and 2016 and also for the launch of the Everyday Amazing which helped drive accelerated growth for Aldi from 2016 onwards.

Commenting on the shortlisting, McCann Worldgroup’s Global Head of Retail Strategy, Jamie Peate said, “We are thrilled to have been shortlisted for the pre-eminent UK awards for marketing effectiveness. This is a massive achievement for Aldi and also for McCann and is testimony to the commercial success of our work together. In achieving this shortlisting, we are among some truly stellar brands which is indicative of just how stiff the competition is for these awards.”

Simon Buchanan, McCann UK’s Managing Director for Aldi added, “Producing work that works to this level of effectiveness is as much about having a client who is prepared to challenge conventions to find new ways of doing things as it is about the agency that produces the work. These shortlistings represent the true partnership we enjoy with Aldi.”
