As a new brand in the gin market, Aber Falls needed to increase its awareness, but on a small budget. We needed to capture the imagination of consumers by taking the brand off the foodie pages and onto the news pages. Aber Falls made history by producing the first gin ever to be distilled at the top of Mount Snowdon.

As the first whisky (and gin) distillery in North Wales for more than 100 years, we utilised the brand’s regional heritage to strike strategic partnerships with Snowdon Mountain Railway and Lab 22 from Cardiff to create something truly unique in Aber Fall’s own backyard.

The campaign proved a real success, with national hits in The Times and Daily Star, multiple broadcast hits across BBC Radio and Heart, as well as blanket trade and regional press coverage in the likes of the Daily Post and Wales Online ensuring we got Aber Fall’s voice and unique proposition heard in a crowded market.

The campaign even helped open a dialogue with two national grocers about future listings, which for a 10-month old brand is no mean feat.
