Eight new apprentices are joining McCann Manchester this week to begin the company’s award-winning apprenticeship scheme, which is now in its seventh year and has expanded its scope for the first time.
In previous years apprentices have undertaken the Digital Marketer Level 3 apprenticeship. This year five apprentices will be taking that qualification, delivered via Arch Apprentices. In addition two apprentices will be undertaking the Junior Content Producer Level 3 apprenticeship, again delivered via Arch Apprentices, while one apprentice will be undertaking an 18-month Software Developer Level 4 apprenticeship, delivered by Manchester Digital.
All apprentices will spend time in key departments at the agency’s three locations; Bonis Hall, Manchester City Centre and Pyx Studios in Poynton, learning how each team works and participating in live projects.
Since its inception in 2011, 33 apprentices have successfully completed the scheme, 27 were made offers of permanent employment and 23 of those are still working at the agency.
