More than 100 clients and prospective clients descended on McCann Manchester’s office to attend a half day conference, Digital Disrupters in Marketing.

The event saw attendees hear from five expert speakers, who discussed subjects from technology and the march of mobile to the rapid development of virtual assistants, and from AI and Blockchain.

The speakers – Mintel category director Matt King, McCann Worldgroup chief digital officer EMEA Jon Carney, Google performance product lead EMEA Huseyin Savas, Wakelet VP marketing and Blockchain Sara Simeone and Applied Futurist and technology media commentator Tom Cheesewright - also addressed how these technologies will affect future marketing strategies, brand experience and customer interactions to the benefit of the packed-out audience.

Following the presentations, McCann Manchester’s head of channels Sharon Palmer and head of digital, Monica Tailor hosted a panel discussion, where the speakers fielded questions on issues ranging from the most appropriate technology to deliver meaningful innovation for brands to the fine line between Internet heaven and Internet hell.

McCann Manchester CEO Sue Little said, “Thanks to the expertise and superb presentations from our guest speakers, there was plenty for our audience to take away from the event.

“I’d like to thank the speakers for giving us the benefit of their knowledge, and also the attendees for helping make our latest event a success.”
