Creating an emotional connection with guests for Holiday Inn
McCann Manchester created a global campaign for Holiday Inn, which aimed to communicate an emotional connection with guests following the global product re-launch. Holiday Inn, is a global hotel brand with a 57-year heritage. Research into frequent travellers found that too often hotel brands impose their own rules and expectations on their guests instead of letting them be themselves. To be the most loved hotel brand in the world, Holiday Inn needed to champion the need to ‘be you’. The ‘Stay You’ campaign launched in May 2010 – a simple, yet global message that continues to encompass both brand and tactical messages. The campaign continues to succeed against objectives. Total brand communications awareness for the Holiday Inn Brand Family has increased significantly since the campaign began.
