New Digital Creative Director joins McCann Manchester

McCann Manchester has further strengthened its digital offering with the hiring of Cannes-nominated creative Chris Beckles to the role of Digital Creative Director.

Chris has joined the Agency’s specialist digital hub –Metro – at its city centre base to drive overall digital strategy and creative output.  He will also work closely with the creative team in Prestbury, reporting directly into Executive Creative Director Dave Price.

Chris joins McCann Manchester from FiveByFive Digital, a boutique communications agency, where he has worked with clients including Sony Games Division (PS3) BBC and GAP.

He has also held previous roles at JWT and TBWA in London. He was recently invited to join the D&AD ‘digital advertising’ jury for 2011. During his career he has worked on campaigns for a wide range of clients including Absolut Vodka, Anhauser Busch, P&G, Wonderbra, Nissan, Allsaints, Bench and Gant.

Sue Little, Chief Executive of McCann Manchester said: “Chris is joining the agency at a very exciting time. The days of digital being regarded as a separate channel are a thing of the past.

“As consumers we continually morph between online and offline channels and the challenge we face is to ensure our clients can exist in both with a consistent and compelling story. I believe Chris’s experience and knowledge will enable us to take our digital output to new and exciting levels.

Chris Beckles, Digital Creative Director at McCann Manchester said: “I’ve spent the last three years promoting existing and emerging technologies to optimise the engagement opportunities between brand and audience. McCann Manchester already has some impressive digital credentials in this area – my new role offers a great opportunity to develop on that.”
