McCann Manchester has scooped a significant piece of integrated communications business with Sheffield based energy solutions provider SIG Energy Management (SIGEM), part of the £2.6bnbn turnover SIG plc Group which is a European leader in insulation and buildings materials.
SIG Energy Management specialises in energy management for households and businesses and has a product range that extends from traditional loft insulation through to the latest renewable energy generation technologies including photo-voltaic cells.
The win builds on McCann’s growing portfolio in the building and construction space where it already handles multinational cement and aggregates specialist Lafarge as well as a number of smaller clients in this space.
The decision to award the business to McCann follows a multi-way pitch staged earlier in the year.
McCann will be responsible for working with SIGEM to develop and deliver a fully integrated communications strategy designed to drive sales growth across SIGEM’s product portfolio.
Commenting on the win, agency Chief Executive Sue Little said, “We are delighted to have secured this opportunity and we believe our growing range of experience across building and construction coupled with an integrated delivery model that is totally geared to delivering commercial growth for our clients means we are ideally placed to help SIGEM meet its ambitious targets.”
Vince Matthews, Marketing Manager from SIGEM comments, “McCann are an ideal partner for us. Their integrated approach means they can take our brand and our products right through the communications journey with customers. An important factor for us, was their strong focus on helping us drive commercial growth as well as helping shape and build the reputation of the SIGEM brand.”
