McCann Manchester has made another senior hiring to drive growth in 2011 and create further opportunities for digital integration across the agency.
Marcus Hadfield joins the agency in the role of Group Director from Meteorite, in London, where he was Head of Digital – responsible for digital strategy, campaigns and structure for four years.
He brings more than 12 years of integrated creative agency experience with him – his work has been recognised with 20 effectiveness awards in the last two years.
The move marks a further investment in McCann Manchester’s senior integrated communications team.
Sue Little, Chief Executive of McCann Manchester, said: “The days of being able to view digital as separate channel and discipline are a thing of the past because we are all multi-channel consumers and digital channels are woven through our lives.
“For us the focus is about delivering integrated communication with digital expertise built into our offering at every stage and Marcus’s appointment reflects this approach.”
Marcus is the tenth appointment to the integrated digital team in the last 12 months and the agency’s overall digital offering extends to around 70 people across, design and development, creative, digital, media planning and buying, insight, PR, social media, data, SEO and PPC.
Sue Little added: “McCann Manchester has ambitious plans for growth in 2011. We believe that building our digital capability by investing in the best talent and strengthening our integrated offering will reap rewards for us this year.”
Marcus Hadfield said: “The people, structure and clients at McCann Manchester provide an enormous potential for growth in 2011.
“My role will be to further develop our interactive offer, ensuring that digital is at the heart of new integrated opportunities for all our clients.”
“Lots of agencies talk about integration, but McCann Manchester does it properly and that’s why I’m really excited to join the team.”
